90-Day Language Acquisition Plan (LAP)

Purpose

A modular schedule that combines TPR, Picture Book review, and community language projects over 90 days.

Instructions

Fill in each weekly plan, choose one LAP project per month, and review progress with a mentor or helper.

Plan overview

  • Month 1: Build listening, power tools, and basic commands.
  • Month 2: Deepen vocabulary with picture books and shared experiences.
  • Month 3: Execute language projects and strengthen emotional stamina.

Monthly LAPs

  • Month 1 LAP: A guided local conversation, market purchase, or greeting exchange.
  • Month 2 LAP: A shared activity with a community member, such as cooking or working together.
  • Month 3 LAP: A more complex task, such as leading a short prayer, teaching a phrase, or visiting a local service.

Notes

  • Adjust the plan to your context and pace.
  • Share the plan with a sending team or mentor for accountability.
  • Include rest days to prevent burnout.
